The San Juan Capistrano Community Services Department says there is a shortage of Santas for this holiday season (yes, it’s that time of year again) and is inviting people to apply for the position. There are five openings.

The Santa Makes House Calls program begins on Dec. 1. You will visit private homes, businesses and holiday parties in San Juan Capistrano, Capo Beach, Dana Point, San Clemente and Laguna Niguel.

The gig pays $40 to $80 for each visit you make. For more info or to schedule an interview, call 949-443-6931. There will be a background check. And it probably helps to have your own beard and belly.
