Octuplets mom visits Disneyland and Knott’s

Octuplets mom Nadya Suleman visited Knott’s Berry Farm on Saturday as workers rushed to baby-proof her new La Habra home, according to stories at TMZ and x17online.
The babies are supposedly arriving tonight (Tuesday)
The sites show pictures of Suleman and at least two children riding Disney’s teacups and other kiddie rides — rocketships and elephants — on Friday. And pictures of them riding Knott’s log-flume and other rides on Saturday.
In some shots, Suleman appears to be signing autographs as onlookers take pictures. In others, she carries large stuffed animals.
Back at her new $565,000 home, about a dozen volunteer contractors spent the weekend painting, flooring, carpeting and renovating her four-bedroom house before the first two octuplets arrive home — probably Tuesday.
“I’m elated by all the help I’ve been getting,” Suleman, 33, told PEOPLE. “I want everyone to know how thankful I am.”
Meanwhile, she spent more than $1,000 at MAC Cosmetics, according to this TMZ story, buying moisturizer, primer foundation, powder, blush, lip stick, lip liner, clear lip gloss, eye shadow, eye liner, face wash, brushes and makeup remover.

I am looking for work and can not afford to go to Knotts or Disneyland. This woman gets to have 12 kids, get a new house and now taking them all to amusement parks. Wish I could do all of this and support her family with zero income. Life must be good living off the tax payers. This woman is a leech and needs to be cut off.

Why are people pouring out sympathy and money to someone who should have been sterilized after her second child. Why do we reward irresponsible and stupid behavior? Octomom is a prime example af what a welfare state does to/for people. It makes them BELIEVE they are entitled to all the freebies, which they spend on anything but the basics of life. When it runs out, they just put their hand out for more. Nowhere in this story does it say the 2 kids with her were hers. More likely she left them with the grandparents (again) and went on her shopping spree with the neighbor kids.

Nayda says that she is working on things so she can stop taking money from taxpayers. It seems to me that she already getting a lot of money so why is she still on welfare? If I am reading the link that ocweenie posted correctly, , it seems that Angels in Waiting will try to get donations, but will bill the taxpayers for the $135,000 monthly cost of taking care of Nadya’s children? I went to school and used student loans to be a student (not to raise kids!) then paid them back!!!
I worked until I’d saved enough to buy a home, then I made payments on time.
I continued working with my husband to build a nest egg before kids, paying my taxes each and every year.
We couldn’t have kids the usual way, and couldn’t afford in vitro, so we adopted two wonderful boys at NO cost from social services
I help out my elderly parents when I can, and NEVER expected any help from them, including free rent or living expenses, once I was an adult.
I wish I could have gotten pregnant, I wish I could afford make-up that costs more than $6.99 at Wal-Mart, I wish I could afford collagen treatments to take care of deep wrinkles around my lips… but I’m responsible and not crazy.
Octomom’s parents have contributed to who she is - mom had three houses, then declared bankruptcy, no doubt while helping to finance all of Nadya’s narcissistic obsessions.
She’s no less than a thief and a fraud, not revealing to her mom that she was getting workman’s comp so as not to have to help financially, not revealing that she was not a student while using loans, and now using her money to have her house in Dad’s name to make sure she qualifies for more free money from people like me.
Willing to bet, patricia is a stay at home wife with no kids, or on welfare herself.

At age 25, I found myself responsible for three children on my own. I choose to have them. Therefore, it was my responsility to show them how to make it life and be independent. I did that by going to work every day, being there at night to help them with homework and take them to soccer practice. We as parents are examples to our children. What is she teaching hers? To live off welfare and other peoples money, what a shame. I also love children and would have had more But, you know what! I didn’t, so my children could have what they needed. Its called sacrifice, your childrens needs come first.

I just heard that Octom-mom spent her Sunday afternoon at a nail spa for two hours. So on Friday she goes to Disneyland, on Saturday Knott’s, and on Sunday her nails. I work and so does my husband, we have one child and cannot afford the time or the luxury to do any of these things. This woman has no shame!

She’s NOT a mental genius. Most people are not. That’s why society forms “norms” and “behavoirs” to follow.

Our society is failing. We are setting no “bounds” on people like “octomom” - and thus we, the society have to deal with their disasterous results.

* underweight

I have the best of wishes for these children too, , and want them to have what’s needed. I just wish, someone would rein in octomom, , to stop her from using their resources on herself, , that’s what angers me and most people. Her mother supported the first 6, , and said Nadya only occaisionally bought them toys, even though she was receiving a lot of money from different sources, none of it went for the children or her Mom. Someone needs to take control of the money and resources to make sure the CHILDREN receive it, , not Nadya!
Why do you think Dr Phil is only giving her things for the children? NOT money, , he has said she is too immature to raise the children. He is trying to have others oversee the situation to educate her and make sure the resources go for the CHILDREN!
Why are rewarding individual irresponsibility? We truly must be as gullible a society as other countries depict the US. The narrative has now changed to helping the kids and not the mom. Other similar arguments were support the troops but not the war, or support welfare for the children and not aid the undocumented parents. Reading the link that ocweenie posted, , it says that Angels in Waiting, will act as foster care for these children. I don’t know to what extent, , or whether that includes decisions on their physical and emotional care as well. Nadya should not be receiving any more aid, as the money she has gotten would disqualify her. Her comments disturb me though, when she says that she hopes to eventually get off aid. I hope she is not hiding assets (like the house in her fathers name), , and still grabbing everything she can with both fists.

It’s time to take the spotlight off of Ms. Suleman. I fully understand how irritated people are with her irresponsible behavior and her complete focus on gaining public attention. However, the public’s voracious appetite for news about her feeds her need for attention. The press should refuse to cover any of her activities, kind-hearted people should realize how they are being taken and stop volunteering to help her, and the ordinary person should just write her off as the big loser thatshe is. She could not go out on her spending sprees if she had no money and no onto give it to her. Children’s Services should keep a watchful eye on the children–who sadly say in who would be their mother. As sad as it my be, the only victims here are her children (who I wish the best for, because their mother is getting media attention by exploiting them for money) I and could not agree more that if I had Octuplets (or ANY newborn) that were/was spending the first weeks of their lives in the hospital, I would be there every moment until they came home healthy and safe. Mac cosmetics (which are overpriced and clog your face), amusement parks and spa days would be the LAST thing on my mind.
Not to mention the tax payers and her new neighbors are victims of this freak of a woman. I’m surprised she’s capable of signing her name and anyone who thinks she is famous obviously thought they were getting Mickey Mouse’s autograph, they do look alot alike (Sorry, Mac couldn’t help her there). My opinion is, nobody should comment anymore, watch any show she’s on, or give her any more attention….as for donations to her family, I wouldn’t voluntarily spit on her if she was on fire….she has already stolen her donations from me and my family in the form of welfare. wow i had the bestest weekend EVER with the kids… im so tired, and all those people asking for my autograph were really wearing me out! after disneyland friday and then knotts yesterday i thought i needed some ME time so i headed to the MAC store and bought some little me gifts…

I don’t have a problem with her visiting the theme parks. Her older kids deserve some sort of normalcy in their lives. But spending $1000 on makeup for herself? I’m sorry, that’s where I have to draw the line. It’s completely unacceptable. If she can afford that much on that kind of thing, then no more tax payer assistance as she must not need it. It gets all cut off. NOW! And Sean, you can talk about the bible, God and bring children to term all you want. There’s nothing in the bible that justifies spending that much on yourself for makeup. She shows her true colors with that one action. Frankly, I think she should have some of the kids taken away from her. I don’t think a single parent can raise that many properly, and even less so from a selfish one that spends a ton of money on makeup when she should be focusing on her kids. I was really against government intrusion with this case. But I think, one she should not be have the babies until she can take care of the children she has at home already. The would be better off in foster care. This Angels Organization should be out of the picture. If she can’t take care of the children then Social Services should step in like they do for the rest of the children or the Angels Organization should volunteer like the rest. They are just getting free publicity and making a profit at the time. By going in and taking care of her job it gives her the time to go shopping, visit Disneyland and TV Appearances.
If Social Services doesn’t take action they are not doing there job to protect the children and the rest of us. This behavior only will encourage more to follow.

bkkroeli if you want to turn the other cheek when someone robs your house, you go right ahead. If we were all good conservative christians, she would have been arrested for welfare fraud long ago. These are not rocks, these are WORDS, and if you read a little more carefully, you’ll see that people are outraged and want the authorities to step in and stop this abuse of the system. There are many people that need help because of the economy, that would not take the help given and use it to spend $1000 for makeup, (how many families could that feed?), or how about using the money spent for Knotts and Disneyland to pay for the gas of the volunteers working long hours on her house? or diapers and formula for the babies? Abuse of the system is what everyone is bothered about and don’t approve of, and you will continue to see people angry until this is stopped.

Nadya HAS NO PLANS for securing her childrens future. New clothes, make-up and comic lip enlargements do NOTHING for the kids! Yet shopping seems HER ENTIRE FOCUS. She’s acting like TRAILER TRASH LOTTERY winners who can’t spend NEWFOUND RICHES fast enough!
THE BEST THING for those kids is being raised by LOVING FAMILIES who WOULD put the children first. The LAST THING those kids need is being EXPLOITED so Nadya can continue SPENDING foolishly. The specter of innocents being sensationalized to a freaky TV audience only makes them TARGETS for pedophiles! NOT something any SANE parent would expose innocent children to.
If all of these people who are volunteering want to help these children so much, they need to walk away (their good hearts are being taken advantage of)…..harsh as that may sound but Miss MacOctoMom brought it on herself. These children also need to be taken away from this freakshow of a life she has brought them into by exploiting them and given Stable Homes and parents, where they can learn morals, how to work hard for what they get through honest living, (not asking to go to Disneyland for a year), how to be become independent, functioning adults, and have the attention of their parents be on them…..how on earth do you give 14 children love and bonding as a single parent? She is not even at the hospital with them. For a married couple this would be more than a challenge….with all of these nurses and nannies doing MacOctoMom’s job, what does she have to do but keep sit on her butt, hiding money made from the volunteers who are honestly trying to help, walk around with her hand out to volunteers for more donations, make money expoiting babies and hiding it while still taking welfare from the Taxpayers, these children are only learning or going to learn how to be lazy, lie, cheat and steal. Those poor children are going to be ridiculed because of who there so-called “mother” is and what she has done….do they really deserve that??
I heard that when she rode the “It’s a Small World” attraction she felt it was way too sparsely populated with chlidren. “Geesh!”, noted Octo Mom, “”They could get way more kids per square inch in here.”
I wonder what’s so special about her going to Disneyland and Knotts. Is she bigger than Mickey and Snoopy/ Looney Tunes now?!

I grew up in foster care and felt that I needed to repay society .I took in children in foster care and fell in love with my first 4 now they are mine and my responsibility. I guess it is called character when you repay a debt. God knows is hard providing for them as a single mom and strugling Realtor. God Help her.

Mark, , if you read a little more carefully, you’ll see that people are outraged and want the authorities to step in and stop this abuse of the system. There are many people that need help because of the economy, that would not take the help given and use it to spend $1000 for makeup, (how many families could that feed?), or how about using the money spent for Knotts and Disneyland to pay for the gas of the volunteers working long hours on her house? or diapers and formula for the babies? Abuse of the system is what everyone is bothered about and don’t approve of, and you will continue to see people angry until this is stopped. Although most parents never claim to be perfect, , the one common trait they all do have is to put the needs of their children FIRST.

ocweenie…I have read this…Im not sure what you would have had me take away from it, I can see SO MANY directions/conclusions 1 could take from it…but let me say this… #1 THANK YOU, I ALWAYS look for ALL the information I can get ahold of… how can 1 stand on anything without being totally informed? there is NO SOLID foundation without being knowledgeable and informed…I have a BSN in nursing, a Masters in Chemistry…I just want to add THIS….I volunteer MY TIME to HELP, NO COST, NO COMPENSATION other than personal reward (we ALL have to lay our heads down at night, and whats individual is individual)…let me add THIS we (my husband and I) do NOT have any children, so therefore have the time aside from our obligations…but maybe…just MAYBE we could help make a diff? if anything we are willing to try…the ANGER in this case is warranted..again I say she isnt worth a POT TO **** IN…shes worked us all/the system…shes despicable as a HUMAN and a “MOTHER” I use the term lightly…but them babies yall…please…lets focus on them and whats best for them…and Ill add 1 last thing…maybe whats best for them is anything BUT what situation they are being thrown into? But what I see is simply a bandaid on a heart -attack! Unless, the volunteers, monetary donors/gift givers are committed to this monumental undertaking for the next 18 years! and then add in oct0mom’s mental state & the fact that she is, in the eyes of the law, the legal parent! I really don’t think she will be agreeable & keep the best intrests of the children in mind with all these volunteer’s raising “her” 14 children for the next eighteen years!!!!!!! and who is going to provide medical benifits for them all??? I, as simply a taxpayer, have no intention of providing for her wants!$!$!$ I really don’t think there would be a shortage of adoptive parent’s out there, more than willing to love & raise……….. and at least give these kids a chance at a happy life….. But for you, I wish nothing but happiness & good luck…..

The grandfather should be reported to IRS FOR INVESTIGATION, as he is being drawn in as an accomplice. It appears she is hiding money in his name to accomplish her welfare fraud. There is a TIPSTER hotline for IRS.
it appears she can spend the money on herself, even though it is supposed to be supervised as being only for the chldren. If the makeup makes her happy, it apparently is for the well being of the babies in a round about way. A happy mother is better for the babies. She is taking this to the fullest extent.
It is nice to know while she has the volunteers working, she is smiling for the cameras, going to disneyworld and buying makeup…oh, yes, and laughing at the ignorance of said volunteers, and just maybe she might drop in to see the 8 new cash cows.

She is able to spend 1000$ on makeup because she has been receiving money from websites and tv stations for her interviews, she also is receiving donations from people who want to help her. She no longer needs or collects food stamps (NOT WELFARE) she doesnt have to. It seems like people here are jealous that she took advantage of the system that we created.
With all the help that she is getting, her kids will be more well off than most of yours.
and one more thing, those VOLUNTEERS are not all doing it for the family or the babies, they see it as a way to get free publicity. Why else does it show the names of the companies making the place baby proof- for free and for the contractor that put up a few walls- for free, it wasnt for anything more than their own personal gain. JUST LIKE THOSE ANGELS THAT GLORIA ALLRED keeps PIMPING!
